About Temenos with Double Monument
The Temenos with Double Monument is a historic site located in Selçuk, Aydın. This sanctuary, situated east of the Prytaneion, was a large open courtyard measuring 26.97 x 19.86 meters, surrounded on three sides by Ionic colonnades. In the center of the courtyard stood a raised structure, 14.98 x 16.14 meters, with steps, which may have served as a base for an altar or two small temples. The site is within walking distance of significant landmarks such as Ephesus (624 m), the Celsus Library (373 m), and the Temple of Hadrian (254 m).
