About State Agora of Ephesus
The State Agora in Selçuk, Aydın, is a historic site built during the Roman Period in the 1st century BC. It was used for governmental discussions and official matters rather than commerce. The agora measured 160x73 meters, with stoas on three sides and a temple in the center dating from the 1st century AD. Notable sites within walking distance include Ephesus (707 m), the Celsus Library (389 m), and the Temple of Hadrian (286 m).
