About Theatre
The Theatre of Pergamon is a historic site located in Bergama, İzmir Province. Constructed in the 3rd century BCE, it is known as one of the steepest theatres in the ancient world, with a seating capacity of approximately 10,000 spectators. The theatre was carved into the western slope of the Acropolis hill, utilizing the natural incline. Pergamon (106 m) and Asklepion (73 m) are within walking distance.
